Hello and welcome to Ecologhouse. As the title suggests it’s about a hopefully very eco friendly house which we are currently building. It is being built using solid Western Red Cedar logs, topped with a sedum roof, heated (and cooled) using a ground sourced heat pump and if any of these areas are of interest to you then bookmark the blog and pop in to see how things are going from time to time.
The conventional foundation work was started on 7th October 2007 and by early December we were ready to start unloading the 3 containers with the logs in and commence the build proper.
